St. Soldier institute of Pharmacy was established in the year 2008 to conduct Diploma Courses with intake of 60 students. This year, 4 Engineering Diploma Courses viz Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with intake of 60 each, have been sanctioned , and this institute has been named as St. Soldier Institute of Pharmacy & Polytechnic.
This young institute forms a part of a large St. Soldier Education Complex, spreading over a vast area of about 47 acres of land and housing 6 other reputed institutes viz Law College, St. Soldier College (Co. Education), Collegiate +2 School, Divine Public School, B.Ed. College, Institute of Hotel management & catering Technology, Institute of B-Pharmacy etc. This Institute is situated on an easily accessible Amritsar Bye Pass GT Road, behind NIT (REC) at Jalandhar. This young institute provides a congenial learning atmosphere in a noiseless as well as pollution free environment. This institute is approved by AICTE, Punjab Govt. and affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical and Industrial Training , Chandigarh.
The basic purpose of establishing this institute is to expose students to different types of pharmacy practise in community and to provide Technical Education to the brilliant students of this area. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO DIPLOMA COURSE IN PHARMACY PART -I
Minimum qualification for admission to diploma course in Pharmacy Part-I Course will be pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
- Intermediate (10+2) examination in Science.
- The first year of the three year degree course in Science
- 10+2 examination (academic stream) in Science
- Pre-degree examination (or)
- Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO DIPLOMA LEVEL ENGINEERING COURSES
- Matric Pass with Maths, Science & English.
- Apart from the basic educational qualification prescribed above, the general eligibility criteria is contained in the Punjab Government, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training Memo. No. 35/44/95-IT(2)978 dated 21st March, 2003. This communication shall be treated as apart and parcel of this notification, for all purposes, and all the provision of this notification shall be read along with the contents of the said communication.
